At Gonzaga, we pursue a better world with equal parts intellect and heart, courage and compassion.
Here, you’ll join a community that cultivates the whole person.
A place where we help one another discover pathways to live with purpose.
Together, we lead the way. Together, we’re Zags.
From the creative arts to the applied sciences, we expose minds to far more than just great thinking. With a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio and teachers ranked among the best in the nation, we stretch perspective, stimulate curiosity and discover pathways to progress. Each learning opportunity is an invitation to further inquiry – encouraging students to look for what they notice that others may not see.
At Gonzaga, a career is just the beginning. Highly-engaged alumni and faculty mentor students, helping them explore their strengths and discover their purpose – all with the support of lifelong connections. Pathways unfold through nationwide Career Treks where students meet with alumni working at leading companies and organizations, the Career & Professional Development Center where students and graduates can receive one-on-one coaching and the ZagsConnect platform where 1,785 alumni serve as mentors.
At Gonzaga, community takes shape through our 120+ student clubs and organizations, where students cultivate friendships through shared passions. At our centers, such as the Native American Cultural Center, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, and Unity Multicultural Education Center, where students can find a place of true belonging and community. And, of course, at Bulldogs basketball games where Zag Nation comes out in force!
Nestled along the Spokane River, just minutes away from downtown, Gonzaga's campus offers a unique mix of natural beauty and urban access. In Spokane, a mid-sized city of about 750,000 people, Zags can enjoy the comfort, outdoor recreation and cost of living of a smaller city, and the employment possibilities, dining and entertainment of a large city. On a given day, a student could rock climb at Dishman Hills or paddle the Spokane River as part of Gonzaga's Outdoor Immersive Learning program, then head to an internship at a downtown business – all without driving more than 15-30 minutes from campus.
