The Facilities Projects Manager position plans, coordinates, tracks, closes out, and manages all assigned projects and manages the work of the University of Maryland on-call contractors and outside contractors. Projects managed would include emergency projects - flood/fire/mold/asbestos abatement/natural disasters, life safety, small-scale renovations, concrete, masonry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, carpentry, steel/iron works, roofing, and tree trimming. The incumbent is responsible for communicating with customers and internal users regarding preferred construction methods, materials, and timelines.
