Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services, the Assistant Vice President serves as the University's senior facilities management officer, providing strategic and operational leadership for the planning, maintenance, development, and stewardship of a vibrant campus environment. Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Vice President will:

• Provide strategic leadership for a comprehensive facilities organization overseeing maintenance, design and construction, utilities, environmental safety, custodial operations, grounds, space administration, and capital planning.
• Lead a department of approximately 65 employees, overseeing a $13.5 million operating budget, approximately $10 million in annual renovations, and major capital projects approaching $100 million.
• Advance the University's campus master plan, capital planning initiatives, sustainability efforts, and long-term stewardship of institutional assets.
• Develop strong partnerships across the University while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, and the Board of Regents to ensure successful project delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Guide policies, processes, and operational strategies that enhance campus infrastructure, safety, efficiency, and service excellence

Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, business, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
• At least eight years of progressively responsible facilities management experience in an institutional, or similar organizational setting with multiple, complex systems, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated expertise in facilities planning, construction, maintenance, utilities, capital projects, budgeting, and organizational leadership.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse campus and external stakeholders.
• Experience with facilities management technologies, including CMMS and construction management software, is preferred.
