Under general supervision, the Low Voltage Shop Supervisor leads, manages, and coordinates the daily operations, activities, and staff of the Low Voltage shop of Central Facilities Services (CFS).  Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection of low and medium voltage electrical systems including fire alarm, intrusion alarm, access control, video surveillance, emergency phones, telecommunications infrastructure, and associated network-connected devices. The incumbent manages projects and contractors and provides leadership and mentoring to staff in support of the operational needs of The Claremont Colleges Services. Phillips Academy seeks a   full-time   Facilities Operating Engineer to operate high pressure steam fire tube boilers, steam turbine, and auxiliary equipment with minimum supervision. The successful candidate will possess a Third Class Engineers license or higher issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.  Experience operating high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, auxiliary machinery, and building management systems are required.  While the power plant is in operation (Late September-Early June) this is a 12-hour shift from 7PM to 7AM with every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday off.
